The Forest fight!
Once long long ago, There lived four birds named Mad Moa, Mr Fantaill, crazy pukeko and brave kiwi. They all lived in a huge forest with big beautiful trees.
One day Mad Moa and crazy Pukeko were having a fight about who was the bravest. When the fight was over the boss of the forest came to them.
That day, the boss of the forest said to them, ¨Who is brave enough to protect the forest at night because it is getting destroyed by insects and creepy crawlies ? Who will give up their lives for the sake of the forest?
¨Mad Moa said ¨NO¨ so the boss gave him a long neck.
Mr fantail said ¨No way¨so the boss gave him a funny tail.
Crazy Pukeko said ¨skwak no!¨
So the boss made him a pest.
And then kiwi stood up and shouted ¨Yes,I will come out at night and protect the forest¨
So the boss of the forest gave him the power to be nocturnal. ¨KIwi you gave up your life for the forest. For your bravery, you will become famous. Everyone will know you Kiwi.¨
Kiwi stood up because he and his friends needed him. His home was now safe. They lived happily ever after and the forest did not get destroyed any longer.
